Roamin' Ponies Cruise #4
For our fourth and final cruise of 2007, we braved the cold and treacherous roads of New England in December!
Meeting at the Basketball Hall of Fame, it was a below freezing day with 30+ mph winds and a sub zero wind chill factor, but we chatted for a few minutes and hit the road.
Craig from MassMustangs stopped by with his sweet GT/CS to say "hi" and meet a few of our members. We can't wait until better spring weather when he can bring his club brethren along on some cruises!
Sean & Karoline from the New England Rally club (http://www.newenglandrally.com)
joined us for the cruise with their cool "Z".
We hit the roads with gusto, until we encountered some pretty nasty snow-covered and icy roads in northern MA.
Torch_Vert had to break off at this point since his Z-rated Pirelli tires were definitely not designed for the nasty salt and ice-covered roads.
He wisely chose to head home, much to all our disappointment, but we'd rather have him and Ms Scarlet safe and sound for next year's cruises!!
Onward we trekked into VT...
We made a not-so-short "pitstop" at the North River Winery.
A very enjoyable time was had with a few "tastings" by the navigators.
Back on the road, we saw some beautiful scenery in VT and NH.
With a short pitstop at the Vermont Country Store, we headed to Keene NH, where we stopped at Chili's for dinner and had some great conversation.
Cool cars, good food, great cruising and awesome friends made 2007 a fun year!
