Roamin' Ponies Cruise #10

On Sunday, October 5th, 2008, 3 members of the Roamin' Ponies rolled down to Ford of Brattleboro (exit 3 off I91 in VT)
for the 6th Annual "Cruz-in the Country" Car Show and Poker Run!

This event was held to support our local chapter of the United Way (United Way of Windham County for more info).

WTSA was on hand to belt out the tunes & announce the winners, while area businesses donated lots of raffle prizes!

Some awesome rides showed up for the car show & Poker Run!

After a few hours of milling around and chatting with other drivers, we lined up and started the Poker Run.

There were some nice winding roads, and very little traffic.

One stretch of UNPAVED road probably surprised a few people who were not from VT (to us, dirt roads are "normal").

The scenery was awesome!

When we returned and set the cars back in place, the judging and raffles began.

RPM Club members, Al & Bill had brought their ponies down for the day.

Al walked away with "Best in Class" for his sweet GT!

A friend of mine, Gary, brought his awesome Charger up from Massachusetts. Here Al checks out the beast, and, YES, it has a HEMI!

Gary also won "Best in Class" for his ride.

Larry, a member of the Marauder forums, brought his SPOTLESS chariot up from MA and took home "Best in Class" as well. Awesome ride!

Its great to see folks from across the "web" getting together at shows. The comaraderie is great and it's nice to put a face to all the handles on the boards!

I think we are going to do a few "open" cruises next year, PM me for ideas or if you have a club event you'd like the Roamin' Ponies to attend.

Thanks to everyone who participated, the event was a great success and all involved had a great time!

We will definitely be going down to Brattleboro again next year!

Maybe we'll see this again too...
